Trip Schedule 2003
As you can see from the schedule listed, we have six trips on
line beginning in early July and ending in late August. Trips
include a guide, cook, wrangler, meals and tents. Guests will
be asked to arrive at the ranch the morning of departure by
8:00 a.m. to meet their crew and join us for breakfast.
** We realize not everyone is capable or has the time to do
a longer six day trip and for that reason we have left dates
open for shorter custom trips in the three to five day range
.

Obviously,
the primary emphasis on this trip is to find and watch wildlife.
On this first trip of the summer the back country is still in
a spring mode. The big ones, i.e. deer, elk, moose, goats, both
black and grizzly bear have not yet moved onto summer range
and the opportunity to view these and other animals is excellent.
We'll be not only looking for wildlife but also the types of
habitat conducive to each particular species.

in the Sports/Venture Section of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
You'll read about one tremendous trip we did with three couples
and a single man a few years back. The author mentions this
area as being a "true angler's paradise." We ride and pack into
the Middle Fork of the Flathead River and fish it, two lakes,
and several feeder streams. We'll be fishing for cutthroat trout
primarily, with brook trout available in some locations. The
fishing will be fair to excellent, never bad! You will catch
fish. Remember though, we're pretty horse oriented, so we'll
be doing some traveling.

We've done this trip for years and it remains our most popular.
As we always say, "this trip has it all". You'll ride up the
Flathead River corridor and as you gain altitude in the very
remote Dolly Varden Creek drainage you'll be in absolute awe
as the magnificent alpine country opens itself up to you. There
is no doubt that if one were wanting to travel through only
one area of the Bob Marshall and had only six days you would
be hard pressed to find more qualities of the "Bob" in one area
than in the Trilobite Range. Needless to say, we rank this trip
among the very best anywhere, anytime!

For those folks who want to see some of the back country of
the Bob. You'll spend a good amount of time on narrow trails
and into very remote basins and meadows that most folks simply
don't see. As hunters we occasionally venture into some of this
country in the fall. It's very important to me that I see and
feel this kind of country every so often. Isolation and wilderness
are the essence of every outfitter. You may be a wildlife enthusiast,
a photographer, a city person, etc. it doesn't really matter.
It's vital to all of us that we know country of this type is
still there. Believe me it is.
